The latest addition to the UFC franchise from EA, UFC 3, has now entered the open beta testing on Xbox One and PS4. There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the game already regarding microtransactions, so hopefully this brief beta period will be able to alleviate the situation for some fans.
For those who may be wondering what new changes will be coming to this rendition, the game is set to bring a vastly improved career mode, as well as quick play options, which has been made available to try for players.
The beta also offers access to Fight Now, Online Quick Fight, Practice Mode and UFC Ultimate Team modes, though the GOAT Career Mode is unfortunately locked, though it is also probably to be expected given that it’s simply an open beta. What the career mode will offer however is players the chance to make the choices that need making outside of the octagon, such as growing their individual’s fanbase, generating hype and help capture the market as much as possible.
The open beta is free to try out (which will come as a surprise, given that it’s EA) and will be available until Monday, December 4th. So if MMA is your thing, then make sure you take advantage of the beta period this weekend. Unfortunately, if you’re a PC gamer, you’ll have to sit this period out, as the beta is console only.
