Paladins: Champions of the Realm has been getting a lot of heat in the past months. Mainly because people seem to think it’s a ripoff of Overwatch from Blizzard, even though the game has been in development longer, and many of their characters were made before Blizzard revealed their characters for Overwatch to the world. Despite the hate, Hi-Rez continues to develop Paladins into a fine title, one that many are enjoying right now.
During a recent Twitch Stream, and detailed further on Reddit, the team broke down what the latest OB42 Patch Notes were for the title. There’s a new PVE gamemode, one that is available for casual queue, can have 5 players take on enhanced enemy players, features Gold and Exp rewards, and each week will feature a new mode, with new enemies to face.
Arguably, the biggest update is that there is a new champion in the game: Torvald. He is a Front Line class, who’s abilities include: [LMB] Gauntlet, [RMB] Recharge, [F] Runic blast, [Q] Protection, and [E] Hyper Beam.
As for the Cards he can use, he has: Hearthwarder, Livegiver, Timeshaper, Winddancer, Arcane Etching, Infusion, Rune Torrent, Scribe’s Wit, Conduction, Eldritch Speed, Induction, Vital Grasp, Glyph of Freedom, Glyph of Health, Glyph of Siphoning, Glyph of the Fist.
There hass also been a bunch of cosmetic changes introduced, and small tweaks to other champions in Paladins. The team also noted during a Q&A that they’re working on rolling out a patch for the console versions of the game as well. They also said they want your feedback about how to make Paladins better, so never hesitate to say what’s on your mind about the game if you think it’ll help it be a better title.
