Blizzard has introduced a new gifting function through Battle.net, which will allow players to transfer gifts to each other through a number of in-game rewards, including loot boxes from Overwatch.
If you want to share a loot box with someone special, then you can now do so, and you can check out how by following the steps in the video below:
It isn’t just Overwatch loot boxes that you can do the gifting with either. In fact, it works with a few other Blizzard titles. So if you want to gift someone an Overwatch loot box, or World of Warcraft pets and mounts, or even a Hearthstone card pack, this gives you the platform to fulfil your wish. If you wanted to be really kind, you can even gift someone a BlizzCon virtual ticket, so they can enjoy all of the action from this year’s Blizzcon from the comfort of their home.
The Battle.net social tab is a neat feature, which allows you to create groups and chat with your friends, working in a similar fashion to Discord. Just set up a profile picture, post a status update and you’re away. And if you’re feeling really sneaky, you can even appear offline to go incognito whilst you’re supposed to be working.
Will you be gifting your friends a loot box or two? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
