PVP (or Player Vs Player) gameplay is essential in MMOs in MMORPGs. After all, why shouldn’t players try to beat the snot out of each other in the name of love, money, glory, and even science? It’s fun when it’s fair, and balanced. But when the PVP gameplay is imbalanced, or something ruins what should be a fun experience, fans notice. Such is the case with Black Desert Online.
One new player took to the game and eventually made their way to the PVP arena. This player, Hypotermia, is a 10-year veteran of MMO games, and thus is well versed in how things should work. So they were surprised when it appeared that every time they entered to do PVP, a much higher level player would come over and kill them, just so they could get the crystals they left behind after dying.
This apparently happened in other places too, but for much worse reasons. Allegedly, other players would tell Hyptermia that “they were in their area”, and that they needed to leave or else. When they refused, because they had no right to make that claim, they were killed. Regardless of what server they were on, or what area they were in, some very mean players would always find and kill them.
Many players rose up in the forums to support this player. Saying that there were small safeguards to get payback on the players who did this. Have you ever had a similar thing happen in Black Desert Online? Let us know, and let us know if you figured out how to stop it!
